The Oxygen Group
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Oxygen? Air right? Well you are correct but oxygen is not just in the air it is also on the periodic table of elements. Many people forget that Oxygen is a group with elements on the periodic table. Oxygen is group 16 on the periodic table, the oxygen group has five elements. Oxygen is approximately 20% of the Earth’s air. Oxygen also has the element Sulfur, sulfur can be approached in nature as a yellow solid. Sulfur is used to make acid. Sulfur is mainly used in the chemical industry.
In conclusion, the oxygen group is not the most popular group on the periodic table, but it is very very important to many living things. Oxygen’s atomic number is 8. We use oxygen as a great source to not only humans but to animals well.
