Diversity of Cells

I learned that cells have a large diversity. Did you know algae and ostrich egg yolks are the largest cells? Cells vary in shape, size, structure, and functions. Two types are prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells are the bacteria and archaea, are smaller in size then the eukaryotic cells and they make up single celled organisms. Eukaryotic cells, on the other hand include plant and animal cells. They are much larger than prokaryotic cells and have a more complex structure, they also make up multicellular organisms. Prokaryotic cells make up the organs and tissue in living things. Organs always have a specific purpose, like the heart is made up of cardiac muscle and pumps blood throughout the system. Cells in different organs are always slightly different, example: a heart has different cells than a liver. File:Marburg virus liver ... Cardiac muscle
