Cells-New Learning
A cell is the smallest unit that can preform all the process necessary for life. The three parts of the cell theory are, all organisms are made of one or more cells, the cell is the basic unit of all living things, and all cells come from existing cells. Also, all cells have     membranes, organelles, cytoplasm and DNA. Lastly, two basic kinds of cells are cells without a nucleus and cells with a nucleus.

The function of a cell wall is to support a cell. A cell membrane is a protective barrier that encloses a cell. The cell membrane contains proteins, lipids, and phosphlipids. Lipids, which include fats and cholesterol, are a group of compounds that do not dissolve in water

A multi-cellular organism means that you are made of many cells. They grow by making more small cells, not by their cells larger. For example, an elephant is bigger then you are, but its cells are about the same size as yours. A tissue is a group of cells that work together perform a specific job. The material around and between the cells is also part of the tissue. A structure that is made up of two or more tissues working together to perform a specific function called an organ. For example, your heart is an organ. Another organ is your stomach. It also has several kinds of tissue. Special tissues make chemicals that help digest your food. Lastly, plants also have different kinds of tissues that work together as organs. A leaf is a plant organ that contains tissue that traps light energy to make food.
